I am a recent graduate (December 2022) from Washington University in St. Louis, where I majored in Biomedical Engineering. I conducted research in a neuro-oncology lab to elucidate the properties of a protein-protein interaction that facilitates stemness in glioblastoma cells. I also volunteer at a children's hospital and work with a neurology startup to develop virtual reality games for cognitive rehabilitation. Throughout my experiences, I have seen the impact of inadequate health literacy on patients' ability to effectively seek and utilize necessary healthcare. As a writer, I hope to bridge the gap between medical innovation and patients. In my free time, I enjoy staying active through basketball, tennis, weightlifting, and running. I also enjoy dancing in shows and just for fun.
